          In pursuance of settlement between various unions and TNEB, Contract Labourers were absorbed into Board Service vide B.P. (FB) No.44, dated 06.09.2007.

          2)  The Contract Labourers with S.S.L.C. and higher academic qualification were appointed as Assessor Grade II.  In the process of absorption, it has been noted that some of the Superintending Engineer's have erroneously appointed some TCL as Assessor Grade II, who are not having the qualification of S.S.L.C. and they are continuing as Assessor Grade II.  Some of them have represented for reversion to RWE cadre.

          3)  Hence, it is requested that the Superintending Engineer's of your region may be instructed to verify the Service Book of the Assessor Gr. II thoroughly and submit the list of candidates appointed as Assessor Grade II without having Minimum General Educational Qualification i.e. SSLC failed while absorbing the Contract Labourer's in terms of 12(3) settlement in the following form to take necessary action.
